For the health and wellbeing of CCHS Student Athletes
ATHLETIC TRAINERS
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who work closely with physician guidance. The services provided by ATs include prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. 
An athletic trainer is a person who meets the qualifications set by a state licensure and/or the Board of Certification, Inc. and practices athletic training under the direction of a physician.
Must have at least a master's degree in athletic training, which is an allied health profession
Must pass a national comprehensive exam before earning the ATC credential
Their knowledge and skills must be kept current by completing continuing education requirements
Must adhere to standards of professional practice and state licensure practice act
Daily duties:
Provide on-site medical coverage during all athletic practices and competitions at Cooper City High School
Provide students with medical and rehabilitation services

Prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate injuries (acute and chronic)
Coordinate care with physicians and other allied health professionals
